Sir Alex Ferguson insists he does not regret allowing Carlos Tevez to join Manchester United's neighbours and rivals City.

Tevez will likely be in the firing line for Manchester City when they host United at Eastlands on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1.

He will be hoping to find the net again having scored against his former club in both legs of the Carling Cup semi-final which United eventually edged.

Despite his tremendous goal scoring record this term, Ferguson says he does not regret selling the Argentina striker.

The right decision
"I have no regrets whatsoever," said the United boss.

"There is no bitterness from me.

"Players leave here from time to time. Some do well, others don't. We move on."

Tevez has flourished at City since his move in the summer and has notched an impressive 28 goals this campaign.

He struggled to have such an impact in his second season at Old Trafford, where he appeared to have fallen down the pecking order behind Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

"Carlos had a good first season with us, I must admit," added Ferguson. "In the second he didn't feature in as many games."

He conceded: "I cannot dispute that he is having a great goalscoring season."

Really? strange that as I don't remember Ushited got anything for him! Come on Sky Sports you really should try harder to get your facts right ;)

Really is poor, isn't it? - and all this "no regrets letting him go" shite - as though it was his choice!

Pride would never ever allow this twisted senile cnut to admit he fucked up big time by letting Carlos slip through his bony, arthritic old claws.

They desperately wanted to keep him there and tried to buy him, but Koorachim's valuation of him was much much higher that the despot could pay. Besides, he'd already made his mind up he wanted out because he felt the despot 'disrespected' him.
The rags wanted him, couldn't afford him, and the rest is histroy.

But the amusing thing is that the tyrant then goes around telling everyone they didn't really want him anyway.

Really?

I know he doesn't like being honest if it means being negative about his own team but is he seriously suggesting that Rooney, Berbatov and Owen are better than Tevez, Adebayor and Bellamy?

Didn't he also say that our best player(Adebayor) was missing when we played them last

Some Truth, some mind games. Tevez isn't as good as Shrek let alone Tranny. But with tranny gone, and Berbaflop the only back-up, one would suggest he has big regrets :)

Way correct that Tevez had more competition for playing time there. Ronaldo was there along with Tevez, Rooney and sir flops. Still doesn't mean Ferguson made the right decision in not playing Tevez or in letting him leave. Tevez proved it so.
