It's pretty obvious Mancini would never care about that side of things.
howiedeblue said:Mancini was very humble in victory, did not resort to cheap jibes, praised the rags after stuffing them on their own pitch the man has too much class to fall for Fergies so called mind games......
"United are still one yard above us and we can only change this if we win the title. After that it might be different but until then United are better than us."
Chris in London said:Well it's only been 48 hours, but so far Mancini hasn't put a foot wrong. David Platt was on 5live yesterday and said that straight after the game RM had said to the team in the dressing room 'don't forget, when all is said and done it is only three points' and the things he has said publicly show all the signs of someone who is keeping his wits about him: "United are still a level above us, maybe it will be different if we win the title"... "United are a very strong team" ... "Today is only three points" and (of course) "David Silva is important player. Only this."
The other thing is, I don't think there is a single City fan who expects us to win the league. We all hope we will, lots of us (me included) think we will, but we have been blues too long to expect that we will win the league simply because that history (the one we haven't got) is just too full of cock-ups. By contrast, all the rags - every single one - I have spoken to since Sunday have still got that smug assurance that their team will be champions in May (who on earth gets twatted 6-1 at home and still thinks they're the best side in the country?)
So let Taggart play his mind games. I don't think they will get to RM because he is too cool, too canny for that. You just can't see him having a 'that's a fact' rant, or an 'if we beat them I will love it ' moment. And even if we are 10 points clear in March I don't think anything Taggart could say about City's ability to still fuck it up would tell us anything we didn't already know.
