Fergie's new excuse

Anyway at least United have now found their level after their mauling of the excellent Aldershot. They are now the best team in the entire world again. Look out Barca. they have brushed aside aldershot and now they are gunning for you.

Amen. Guardiola et al think so ;)

And yet Slur Alex's comments are contradictory to those he made after the game.

He labelled his team naive and they should have shut up shop at 3-1.

Yet here he is, suggesting it is 'the Manchester United way' and they were fighting the history books.

So which one is it, his admission that his players don't listen to him or here is a manager who is at odds with the Manchester United way?

It was the same in Rome two years ago against Barca. 'Ah, but that wasn't the real United, we didn't stick to the game plan, we know how to beat them.'

Certainly looked like it at Wembley in May, eh piss can?

Manure - Romanticising events since 1958.

Just heard Fergie on Talk Sport. "We lost heavily on Sunday because of our style of play. Wether we play with ten/nine/seven or one man we always go for goals" You couldn't make it up!!
Yes, you have to admit he's right. They were raining shots at Joe Hart all second half.

i just dont understand his point at all!

at 3-1 in the 90th minute we had a corner and scored, not an open play goal, they defended it woefully and was in no way down to the fact united were trying to get back in the game.

the 5th and 6th, well how on earth did the players imagine they could score 3 in injury time eh??
any decent manager/player would not have continued to bomb forward and leave their defence so exposed.

shut up fergie you bitter twunt

But you've not taken into account they were all focused on winning the ball and bombing downfield to score. I bet there were more rags in City Square on Sunday than there were in their 6 yard box for that goal. Lescott & Dzeko could have got a table and chairs out and had a picnic before sticking the ball in the net.

Whatever the idiot Baconface says, everyone watching that could see they'd given up. Not just beaten in terms of goals but beaten physically, mentally and tactically. Beaten individually and as a team. They knew in those last few minutes, what had started to dawn on them in April & May at Wembley, that it's over and done for them. They can only win the title now if we choose to lose it.
