look I was pro Hughes all the way although I was getting frustrated by the teams inability to defend and the number of points lost via draws, I still had confidence in Hughes. The biggest mistakes he made were to sign Toure & Ade.
The club has made a decision and I have moved on.

Thanks Mark for the work you had done and good luck in any future roles you may have.

Fergy's comment are not too far of the mark, the manner in which this has been handled from the day of the Hull draw has been poor. I hope the board learn from this for the future.

I keep wondering how you can sack a person in a nice way.

To be honest, there is no nice way of sacking anybody, but in an organisation you could get sacked on the spot for gross misconduct. Here he was sacked for basically being on target to achieve what had been set.

I think conversations should have been had post the Hull game that the board were not happy with what was happening on the pitch and Hughes and his team would need to show improvement or City will start to look at alternative options.

That way Hughes would have known how the board were feeling and that they were not happy with the progress following the substantial investment in Hughes squad.
