Rodri 100% our next leader on and off the pitch, he has grown incredible respect on and off the pitch.Impossible to replace a man of that stature in the squad. I liked that in episode 4 of the documentary Rodri recognised the gaping hole he will leave and talked about trying to step up his own leadership in an attempt to compensate. The Etihad needs another statue.
Just as a build, Joao showed some real mental strength in recovering from that ordeal and then shortly after signing a contract renewal. There are depths of personality and character to him. I also think Rodri is a nailed on future captain.

Nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said, the man is a god in my eyes !
Suffice to say, my favourite City related photo is of me and my grandson on the stadium tour sat beneath Fernandinho and Sergio’s shirts, I turned him and said “ you won’t realise it, but today lad, we are rubbing shoulders with greatness”, he looked at me and whispered “ you knobhead”, I’ll never forget that day.

Fernandinho now is playing with his new club Athletico Paranaense against Palmerias in the semifinals of Copa Libertadores (Champions League of South America). Former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is the coach of Athletico Paranaense.

His side beat Palmeiras (defending champions) in the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores last night, and will almost certainly play Flamengo in the final.
They were 1-0 up after the first leg, before going down 2-0 in the second. He was involved in setting up an important goal to get back in the game and then his side got an equaliser late on to win the tie 3-2.
