Thanks for the replies. I see Castles is saying Txiki doesn't rate Barry or Garcia. Looks like the slower midfielders are on their way out.

Even at 23m, this seems like a much better investment than De Rossi.

Read somewhere that it's for 23m Euro's which is what? £17mil?
well according to the mirror (terrible source i know) it could be anything between £17 mil and £23 mil

Palmeri is a KFA (Sneijder to Spurs is his only 'exclusive' of late... yeah), he takes Di Marzio's news within minutes of it appearing in Italian and posts it in English.

BTW Di Marzio said 28 million EUROS which is £23.7million by today's currency exchange. Whether we'll pay all that or whether that would be a total fee after addons is another question.

Typical Man City transfer - Media think of a figure, then treble it then add wages for the duration of the contract.

Wouldn't surprise me if the transfer was between 10m 13m

It would be interesting to see what happens to Barry, I think as fans we want him to definately stay, but I can see Txiki wanting to get him off the wage bill with an idea of bringing younger players in.

Barry for me will become a Premiership player and more of an impact player in Europe, either way we need to get Garcia off the wage bill if Fernandiho is coming in.

I can see another De Jong situation if Barry leaves though, there will be times during next season where no doubt we wlll question why he was sold, so Barry should definately be put on an extension contract.

Talk that Fernandinho deal is already done is wrong City are in pursuit, but not there yet.

Yes.

I wouldn't mind keeping Barry at a much smaller wage. He's still useful against the likes of Stoke, Aston Villa etc

I find this a bit disrespectful, he was awesome against the Scum and Chelsea this season

Brennan truly does not have a scooby - he just speculates based on what he reads on here and news now etc

I think it would be a mistake to let barry go,at times recently the squad has seemed threadbare and so to let an english player of his talent and experience of the premier league go and hope a new player to the country settles right in seems bonkers to me.I get the feeling he really wants to be here and will take a lower wage or structure to stay and i hope that is what will happen.fernandinho seems a good buy

no matter what a lot of spoilt city fans say.

Nothing to do with spoilt mate, through huge investment/luck,its the table we now sit at.

Garcia isnt good enough and we dont have to accept such anymore.

I suggest you go support Everton if you want eternal mediocracy and very limited expectation.

who the fuck are you to tell a CITY fan to go and support everton?

I would rather be hung drawn and quartered at Tyburn than support Gollum and his band of hoofers
