Fernandinho

He was good for the three games at the start of last season but got injured vs Stoke and didn't look the same. Looked a lot better at the end of last season though
If you mean Fernando then I think you are being very generous. He might of had a decent game here or there (like Garcia) but he was shocking from his first game in Scotland. You only have to see a few games sometimes to know someone is not capable. How our scouts thought he'd work out is beyond me (especially after Garcia).

Are you sure about Yaya....? Reckon lots of our fans think otherwise.
I think what we've seen at times is a motivation issue - which is understandable given his family issues the past 18 months, Yaya had by far his best season at 30, Pirlo played in the CL at 36, Terry had one of his best seasons last season - players are benefitting from advances in training, nutrition and recovery. Yaya would still walk into pretty much any team in Europe, and whilst that is still the case, he should absolutely have a key role at our club.

The prospect of Delph-Fernandinho in the middle is a promising one; they'd provide a good platform for any 4 players ahead of them, and great protection for the 4 behind.

The only way this could happen is if there's another defensive midfielder on his way who has so far gone under the radar. Vidal would be one of the few potential upgrades, as would Mascherano.

Aránguiz is another good option but securing a work permit maybe a problem.

Work permits are only really an issue for non-EU players when the player hasn't played a certain amount of games for their national team, if you area regular like Aranguiz is for Chile you won't have an issue.

I would love to see Aranguiz at City, watched him at the world cp last year and in the Copa this summer and he is a class act.

He does look a player who can easily fit in our set up but I am quite pessimistic that the home office would take a dim view.

I think he's completely indispensable. Obviously if they gave us an absolutely huge offer it might be worth exploring (something like Parejo and some cash), but I would hate to see Ferna go. Top 5 player on our team IMO.

His legs are definitely still there and I could see him being a key player for another 3-4 years for us.
