Fernandinho's contract

I doubt the club would have been so blase about a new contract if it was actually running out this summer, so it didn't stack up in that regard.

On that basis may or may not be worth giving him a new one because we may be looking to a younger generation in 18 months time and his legs may fade.

Playing the way he is doing he'll be playing to his current standard for at least 2 or 3 years.
An extension will be well worth it.

I'm sure he will be offered a new deal, as Gaurdiola has repeatedly said how important he is, but it seems strange that we're leaving it relatively late as we could risk losing him on a free if someone offers him a lucrative deal elsewhere.

Hopefully we'll get an announcement soon. Even though he's 31, he's one of our most important players and still has a good few years in him yet. Get it sorted, Txiki!

Definitely need this done. One of the most underrated players in the league.
