Th biggest blunder came after our title in 2012. We could have had at least 2 of De Rossi, V Persie and Hazard, but instead they sabotaged Mancini and gave him absolute shit because they wanted him out to bring in their own man.
With those three players, who were very gettable at the time, we would have won 3 titles in a row and going for number 4. The rigged FFP sanctions were set in stone regardless of what we did in the transfer market as proved by PSG getting the same sanctions, even though they spent more.
Once the Spanish connection came in we bought fuckinn B & C grade crap, at a premium no less! Not one player has improved the first XI who happen to be stale because of lack of competition.
Look at what **** Ferguson did, he bought one marque player every window to add impetus, competition and spark to the team. It works. We did not do that and now we are paying the price.
The next 2- transfer windows are crucial, given FFP. Unless of course those bent rules are thrown out in court

Bottom line is who has become a main stay of our first eleven from a huge deposit of cash since Txiki arrived ?
Fernandinho - yep, decent enough but not worth the outlay
Negredo - nope, he's back in Spain already
Jovetic - nope
Navas - nope
Demichelis - just about, but who's signing was he, seems a Pellers signing to me
Fernando - nope
Mangala - nope
Bony- nope
Sagna- nope
Lampard- nope
Hit and miss my blind brown eye

Yep and that is a LOT of money wasted on average squad players. With FFP every signing we make is vital and so far we've spunked it all on players who haven't improved the first XI. There's been 4 windows since Mancini left yet the majority of the time we're still playing with his players and that says it all. But maybe even more worrying is I look at the players he has failed to get us Isco, Hazard etc and I really do wonder is the man capable of attracting the very best players?
It's fucking shambolic and some of them are making the shite deals like Santa Cruz and Adebayor from the days we were trying to muscle our way in look like bloody bargains....some are even border line Mathias Vouso fucking wank

Some of them are decent players but probably not suited to the premiership as such.

Its nailed on if all of them left tomorrow they would not join premiership clubs.

What we need id players who have or can adapt to both competitions.

In saying that I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't in the Chumps League next season our form has dropped off so much since December.

The players to a man lack motivation and willingness to fight for wins.

Its been a really poor season and will likely get worse but you expect that with a club still trying to find its indentity in Europe.

Having a squad full of European or South American born players has to be of the kind that can adapt to the rigours of the premiership.

This season has shown how poor the premiership actually is and the fact we are struggling in it to match last seasons achievements shows me that MP and a number of the players need to be moved on.

The spine of the team appear bored to be out on the pitch, signing one quality player can reinvigorate them but signing more crowds fighting over a spot on the bench won't.
Seems a long time ago Agueros debut against Swansea, how fucking excited we all were then, need that buzz again around the club.
Bale is the realistic answer, that ticks all boxes

agree totally. ffp hasn't helped but these two have done nothing for the team since arriving. made it worse actually.

Sadly true the signings have been garbage, we should have kept Mancini

FFP or not this summer is critical for Txiki to start to make a real mark and earn some respect in the game in relation to his time at City for what he is well paid to do.

If he doesn't get quality in that is lacking in our current side he chances of being involved again next summer would have to be very slim.

No new local talent in the side under his watch and a list of transfers that have failed to take us forward in Europe to any degree to date.

The current squad is really at the cross roads and on the decline.

The current squad will not be good enough to challenge for the title next year and the next manager has to be an improvement on the current one because the rate of decline from the likes of MDM , VK , Zabba and a few others that might in all likelihood still be with us next season has to more than compensated for in the market this summer.

Not only do we need a new manager but we need a new captain as well so a huge summer ahead.

How the fuck is Txiki guilty for not landing Hazard when he wasn't even employed back then.

Likely that some of our players are not top grade ie they were not worth the money paid for them but surely they are better players than the homegrown Burnley variety ?
We have goalscorers who cannot penetrate an organised defence yet that same opposition for some reason can score with many less chances (not only Burnley this applies to ).
We have defenders who cannot defend successfully yet Burnley are able to do so. Why is this ?

Is it player attitude ? Possibly, but the new wage structure rewards success not failure so are they really volunteering for a cut in wages ?

Is it bad management causing confusion in the ranks, or maybe the players are unable to integrate as a team.

In short, why pay money for so called stars when their combined efforts are nullified by teamwork irrespective of the quality of the opposing players.
