What we need is a solid professional performance at stoke and a Good win that will relax a few fans at the moment all we can go of is the 3 games we played and defensively it doesn't look good..

They have taken about £30million per year (close to £50million off, close to £20million back on going by all the reported wages) off the wage bill without really weakening the squad, which deserves credit from these people who subconsciously seem to want them to fail.

Ok we reduced the wage cost but we added 90 million transfers cost so I dont really think that we have reduced the total cost.

clearly you don't understand how transfers work either.

They are amortised over the length of the contract.

Tevez was therefore costing somewhere between £6-10m in wages depending on what you believe and between £25.5-47m on transfer fee.

Therefore he cost between £10.1-19.4m per season.

The £87.5m this summer is weighted depending on the length of the contract.

For eg. Demichelis will cost c£2m per year.
Navas £3.73m
Negredo £4.1m
Fernandinho £7.5m
Jovetic £4.48

Total: £21.81m per season for 2 years then minus Demichelis. This cost goes down if they sign new deals.

They are understood to be on much lower wages than Tevez, Balotelli, Maicon, Cruz, Bridge. Therefore they will actually cost LESS than those players.
