Yep, we dropped a right clanger there ....Wasn't really bothered when Palmer was sold. He looked good in the youth but £42m seemed like a good price. He has developed into an absolute baller. Probably the best number 10 in the league at the moment.

Dunno, I got nervous the second I realised Simpson-Pusey was coming on after his horror show at Sporting Lisbon, players around him obviously don't trust him, saw De-Bruyne on the ball telling him where to run so he had a pass on, can't have that in the CL games no matter who we're playing.If you're 3 up at home to nothing more than a okayish team with the toughest game of the season on Sunday subs was the right decision.
No-one could expect such fuckwittery could possibly happen. We used to be Sherlock Holmes but have turned into the Keystone fucking Cops.

As a team we are shattered. Both mentally and physically.
We have lost the fear factor. And we are in unchartered territory.
We have no leaders on the pitch anymore.
It looks to me that the players have no fight in them when things go ugly. Nobody is willing to put their foot in!!
A huge drop off in quality all over the pitch, kamikaze defending, poor game management and injuries all contributing to where we are at.
And it's not going to fix itself overnight.
This isn't an overeaction, but with the games coming up we could easily be going in to the derby with 10 games without a win!!!

He was tell JM who had just come on and is inexperienced.Agreed, I could see it from my spot in SS3 and said the same thing to those around me against Spurs.
There's no leader on the pitch. No-one is vocal, trying to calm things down or lift heads when they've gone down. Bernie was captain last night and as much as we all love him, he wasn't talking to anyone, dictating anything or taking control of the game. "Leadership by example" in terms of running about a lot is not what is needed right now.
At one point after Kev came on he was actually pointing to where he wanted other players to be and trying to get them to MOVE.
I don't have the answer or names at hand, but I'd be going to market and making moves to sign a veteran defender or midfielder on a short-term basis (12/18 months) who has been there, done it all, has some swagger about them and isn't afraid to disrupt the dressing room from day one to lift this bunch out of their current funk. I know the age of the squad is an issue but a shot in the arm is needed as this lot are just feeling sorry for themselves at the moment.
I'd also supplement that with an energetic pair of legs in the middle, we've been linked with plenty and I'm hopeful that will happen in January.
Getting to January and picking up our form between now and then is critical. But once we get there, the refresh of this squad needs to start.
Bad subs and individual errors by Eddie and Gvardiol, neither of whom id say are past it.

On one of the goals (sure it was second), Gvardiol fizzed a pass into Mcatee from the edge of our box. Mcatee was closed down and was closely marked by 2 of the opponents who nicked the ball to start the attack which led to a goal for them.
All 3 goals were an absolute shitshow of defending to be honest!
Yep, they were ...... it's unbelievable, not to mention totally unprofessional how we threw this game away, we had looked pretty comfortable for most of it.
