Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

I hope our transfers team are also taking a good long look at themselves.

This is what happens after neglecting a top top team that has brought trophy after trophy through the door.

Buying bargain basement players hoping that the stellar players will avoid aging is absolute madness!!

One of the main reasons we are where we are at the minute.

Collectively from the players, the backroom staff, all the way to the top - needs a wake up call!!!!

Players to fit our side don't have to be expensive. It's finding the right players and over the last 2/3 summer windows we haven't done that in the main.

Can’t understand the love for Grealish tonight. He did fuck all, never made a positive move bar his deflected shot and looks out of shape.
If anything, he should have been subbed as he was bolloxed.
It was a reminder that when him and Bernie play play wide they create nothing.
Bernado spent the whole 1st half stunting attacks by totally refusing to put the ball in with any urgency.

You cannot keep continue making individual mistakes. You can do as much as you want but if your players individually are failing, something like this today will happen.

That has happened in the last six matches.

They are missing a vocal leader. A strong leader at the back.

He's right.

If pep left the team as is like he usually does we win that 3 nil.

He made a bad tactical decision when the team is in a slump and we were winning.

What's your problem.
And then who do we play against the scousers? Because Gundo and Ake would be fucked.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Amazon Prime: "The game was fine at 3-0, playing good, but then we concede a lot goals because we were not stable. We gave them the first and then the other one, that is why it was difficult.

"We lost a lot of games lately, we are fragile and of course we needed a victory, the game was good for the confidence. We were playing a good level but the first time something happened we had problems.

"I don't know if it is mental. The first goal cannot happen and the second as well. After that we forget what happen, we were desperate to win and do well, we do well but don't win games.

"The situation is what it is. We played a good game but at that level we can't give them away.

"Right now I am not ready to think about that [need to win final three games to finish top eight]. We have to recover and prepare for the next game. If we are not able to win games like we did today it is difficult to do it."
Very defeatist that, sounding ominous as well

I think Pep needs a share of the blame too. He made two nonsensical subs. Debruyne for Gundo and McAtee for Ake. He didn't need to do that.
He surely didn’t instruct Gvardiol to play a half arsed back pass, or Ederson to leave a gap between himself and the post then charge out into no-mans land with no hope of getting to the ball.

Those sort of things just shouldn’t happen in a top team.

If you look at the replay, it was only Pusey and Lewis that were back there on the 3rd goal. Bernardo comes charging in late. McAtee was way up the pitch.

No, I get that, but that's where he should have been. He wasn't brought on to play defence. He didn't come on to take Ake's position is what I mean, he came on to take Foden's.

On the positive side of things we didn’t get beat again…look we’re going through a bad patch. It happens, with the amount of moaning going on in here some of you wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes supporting City back in the day. We’ll come good again, just got to ride this wave and get through the other side of it.

Certainly finding out who's up for the fight and who supported Chelsea in 2008
