At this moment in time until we get our key players back fully fit and Pep finds a way to play without Rodri I fear us losing every game. Why? Our midfield is too easy to play through, our defence is weak and basically can't defend. That means our only hope is to outscore the opposition.....which leads me onto our third problem. We don't score enough goals from the chances we create. In short it's a recipe for disaster and we need it fixing quickly or we will rapidly turn into the rags we have mocked the last few years. A shadow of our former selves.
 
Loads of tickets left for this, seems the new format, the over priced tickets and the poor form as put lots off, no doubt 1000s will be given to every tom dick and non city fan

We need a big squad overhaul pal, starting in January as difficult as it is to sign quality players. We didn't do half enough in the summers window which was quite honestly piss poor. You've summed it up perfectly and I honestly don't know where the next league victory is coming from, we've some right stinkers coming up
 
We need to use this game to find solutions to our current problems. Let's be real, even our starting 11 from yesterday would beat Feyenoord (no disrespect), but Liverpool will put 5 past us.

To state the obvious, we MUST play 4 CBs at the back, this has always worked for us and we need to put a stop to us losing 3/4 goals a game madness. It's not Walker or Lewis. It's neither. Pick whoever is fit from Akanji, Stones, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol. Perhaps time to try Gvardiol, or Jacob Wright, in the DM role because Gundo (legend, but time waits for no man, and he was never supposed to be a starter this season) and Lewis (not our level) are currently the worst partnership in the league there. We must play KDB, we rely on him so much. Then, time to bring Jack Grealish back on the left for protection, we are also just much better with him on the team. Savinho has to be on the right, that's where he excels, he is lost anywhere else. We need Nunes for his legs and speed, he is in-form, and must be playing.

Do these changes and we are back to winning

We need to play a strong team and play O'Reilly as part of it..

Nunes has been average but at least he has some legs in him - bt he aint part of a developing, starting to get back to best prem team - he just aint at that top level...decent player but he does not have that edge required

We need Walker to get fit - or at least closer and he needs game time...Everyone has a hard-on for Lewis but he is equally as culpable for the poor performances.....Walker is the better defender....Lewis has been poor in midfield along with everyone else but he isnt a right back and he isnt good enough (yet) to play the role Pep wants him to...he has the technical skill in tight spaces BUT he doeshave have a final pass, doesnt score goals, doesnt create and cant defend when the ball goes past him...he gives away possession as well too much - the quality is there but not yet

Ake needs games

KDB needs games but more importantly for me he needs to show his head is still here at the club as Im watching him and Im not so sure...his attitude/body language/effort and general play up until yesterday (where he was better) have not been good when he came on recently

Grealish needs games

Haaland needs a rest

McAtee deserves another shot

Gundogan - needs to play and show he can play or its time to realise that he cant be part of a prem team trying to get top 4 - he has been the worst performer in a bunch of very bad performers - however he CANNOT play as a 6 (not can Lewis) - they are poor

They soak up pressure and counter quickly with balls in behind. Similar to Sporting. It’s like all teams have switched to that style of play

Exactly this. Some players look like they've lost the hunger too that gets us through difficult times. Jogging back, not putting enough effort into tackles, not pressing hard enough. They're feeling sorry for themselves and one or two are coasting. MOTD showed a clip of Maddison .... fucking Maddison.....smiling as he kept the ball poncing about while none of our players, including Bernardo could get it off him. Worrying times.

I admire your optimism. I have no idea about Feyenoord but we've only won 3 times in 68 years at Anfield. Still let's hope for a typical City moment and put the cat amongst the pigeons. Fingers crossed.
