Feyenoord:
They sit 4th in the Dutch Eredivisie, with just the one defeat against when they lost to Ajax.

In the Champions Leage won 2 lost 2. Significantly both wins were away from home against Girona and Benfica and they scored 3 goals in each of those fixtures.

Their most well known players are David Hancko a CB with international experience for Slovakia and used to play for Fiorentina in Serie A who I rate but goes under the radar a bit. Santiago Gimenez the Mexican striker who was making a name for himself in the Eredivisie last season due to his prolific striking rate of goals and was being linked with a few big clubs. QuintenTimber Dutch international midfielder whose brother Woody plays for the Tarquins in Landan. Shout his name and he falls over.

Other players to be aware of are Igor Paixao a Brazilian who plays LW if he isn’t scoring he is assisting goals. One more player to note is 19 year old Antoni Milambo who plays midfield and is making a good impact for Feyenoord he has got 3 goals from 3 appearances in the CL all the goals coming in the away fixtures.

Gimenez mentioned above has been out for 2 months but has been training the last 2 weeks and is expected to be in contention for the City match. Timber also mentioned above missed the game at the weekend due to an ankle injury prior to the international break but is hopeful of being on the teamsheet against City.

Their 2 CL defeats were against Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart. They are conceding 2.5 goals on average in the CL.

Before writing this up I was confident despite our form we would win this, I still am confident but less so.
After reading that I might change my draw prediction to something less positive.

———-—-——-Ederson——-
———--Akanji—Dias—Ake——
———---Stones-Gundogan—
Foden—Bernardo—De Bruyne-Grealish
———————Haaland————

Stop fucking about with things that obviously aren‘t working. No Gvardiol playing high and wide on the left, no Lewis playing as an inside right, no Walker full stop.
Dias is injured and isn’t back until early December (probably the Forest game), Stones went off injured again, De Bruyne isn’t fully match fit yet and I’m not sure Grealish is.

Yes they are capable of a result against us in our current form. They are supposed to set up as a 433 but I think in the away CL fixtures they tweak this a little with Paixao playing more centrally. Fingers crossed we get a win. When the fixtures came out we would expect to have won this game without question.

Ortega
Akanji Pusey Ake Gvardiol
O’Reilly Grealish
Foden Wright/McAtee Kev
Haaland

If we’re winning, Gvardiol off, slide the defence over and put Walker on so he and Gvardiol both get a breather.

Gundo nowhere near this game as he needs the rest.

Nunes can come on for Kev when he’s fucked.

The closer this game gets the more I think we just need to forget about Gundogan and Bernardo in the middle for the rest of the season. Nunes is alright on the ball and works hard - it's only fair he gets a run after the absolute shambles of the last few weeks. The same goes for O'Reilly as well.

Ortega
Walker, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol
Nunes, O'Reilly
Savinho, De Bruyne, Grealish
Haaland
