Feyenoord v City pre-match thread

Expect the same as Celtic away last year. Feyenoord and their fans will be up for this. And if the game is going for them like at Celtic the atmosphere could be quite immense.
They play at home, we are by far the favourites, and they have absolutely nothing to lose. And I've seen enough of Feyenoord to know they can be a real handful on the night.

I do however expect a win. Pep will take this one serious. And rightly so. We need to try and get qualified for the knock outs asap. Than we can rotate. Now we need to play our strongest team and make sure they won't be a banana skin.

I'm not so sure that Jesus will start on the bench especially after coming off so soon in the second half yesterday with this game in mind to be fair mate.

Love games like these where we're coming off a win so great that I can't wait to see us play again. Head says narrow 0-2 win, heart says we'll thrash them by four or more. All depends how much we want it.

I'd like to see us revert to 4-3-3 and start with the following:

This is assuming Ederson can't go and the choice between Gundogan and Danilo depends on Ilkay's fitness, but I would start him if he's ready. Silva's done nothing wrong to be benched but I don't think he should play three games in a week at this juncture, especially coming off a full international break. Sterling and Sane both deserve to start based on recent performances. And finally I would leave the back four intact, especially the Stones/Otamendi partnership. The two of them need minutes together if VK is going to be out for a little bit.
