I think the idea is that Sane and Sterling's speed will be useful against tired legs. Wouldn't be surprised to see both subbed on and bag or create a few.

I also think pep is looking at players who tired throughout last season. He knows he will have injuries and both a fresh Sterling and Sane lying in wait for the december/january/potential injuries should be frightening to teams. Gundogan and Yaya being eased in too.

I was banking on Sterling and Sane starting, but I'm positive they're going to play a very very big role this season.

Delph is ok as a squad player. His injuries have hindered his progress.
One thing you get with Delph - he is not frightened to shoot from outside the box. Not always on target but we have had deflected goals from him.
OK he is not a 'galactico' - but willing to put in a shift.
Pep obviously rates him to do a job.

Fair play to Ederson, brave of him to play just days after that injury. Would've been understandable if he didn't fancy it tonight.

Not that surprised - he does seem a bit of a nutter (in the best possible sense!).
