I was in the Big Ben bar in Rotterdam when it got attacked by the Feyenoord hooligans when over there with Hearts about 12 years ago.
Hope they have grown up since then. :)

Anyone know if it'll be better to stay in Rotterdam or stay in Amsterdam and get a train back there after the game?

Stay in Rotterdam. Rotterdam is an even bigger city than our capital Amsterdam (God know's why they ever named this shithole our capital...).

Rotterdam has a lot of nice hotels, bars, restaurants and you will have a great time there.

Go to Amsterdam if you like beggars, pimps, hookers and drugs ;)

Haha, well the hookers are not behind windows in Rotterdam. But he has a point, Amsterdam has become overloaded with (many) tourists only looking for drugs and hookers. You wouldn't see a drugdealer on the corner in the main streets in Rotterdam, but Rotterdam has bad neighbourhoods as well. I wouldn't recommend you to go in the neighbourhood Feyenoord plays after the match for instance. Just go back to the city centre, because the southern part of the city is very raw.
