Is really the way they should be punished?
I mean this is just making it harder to pay the bills.

Thats FFP for you, if a club can't pay the bills they'll withhold prize money until they do!! YCMIU

this is starting to look like a good mony spinner for eufa, tax the poor.

this is a shite idea, and imo will ruin football for the masses, the huge european clubs are alright, the others can swivel,a fucking disgrace.

Stop spending money on new players until your bills are paid.

These are not Financial Fair Play related but separate sanctions for breaching overdue payables. The media is calling it FFP because that is in fashion right now but doesn't kick in until 2013/2014. @FootballLaw on Twitter has a lot more clarification.

Exactly. Atletico owe the tax authorities almost as much as OldCo Rangers owed to HMRC! After they sold Aguero they went out and signed Falcao.

The financial affairs of the big Portuguese Club and many of Spanish Clubs is fairly dire. Sporting, Benfica and Porto are in the worst position with very high debts and limited revenue. Barcelona and Real generate enough revenue to service their debts but Atletico do not.

I agree a transfer embargo until all bills are paid is the way forward, not giving them prize money will make it harder to pay the bills and not the way they should be going about it.
