£200 manchester to madrid return tues - thurs with stop off in brussells. rip off but will be worth it!

We have done the same, fly out on Tuesday evening vis Brussels and back Thursday, 5 star apartment in central Madrid for 2 nights £300 each

How far is the Airport to the stadium? I have seen a flight from Birmingham, but it doesn't get in until 18.05 on match day

There's a direct rail link from the Airport to the Benrnabeu on the metro on the no.8 line (pink). If it gets in at 18.05 local you have until 20.45 to get there. So barring a major fuck up, you should be okay.

EDIT - Metro Station is called Nuevos Ministerios, not direct but the metro looks about 5 minutes walk away.

Look at the price of flights to Milan already from Manchester

Look at the hotel prices in Milan for the final weekend too. I think I'll be staying in some village in the middle of nowhere and getting a train into Milan should we end up getting there.

Problem with the flight is if it's delayed!!

And don't forget you have to pick up your tickets

Yes I've used CheapOAir a few times. First time the prices were very reasonable, second time they added a bit on saying it was taxes and the third and last time they took the piss. They mentioned the price hike when they had all my bank card and passport details so it was a bit like getting held to ransom. It wasn't douBle the price but still exploitative!

I would be very careful about companies on Skyscanner.

Prices change because when you book through things like Skyscanner they aren't actually booking your seat there and then. All these companies do is redirect demand away from the airlines themselves to force down the 'official' price. So say you book with this company instead of the airline, that is taking away from the airline a seat booking, multiply that by potentially a plane full of people and the airline has to reduce prices to get bookings in. After this happens and once the price is right, your company buys you your seat and pockets the difference, easy money.

Flight pricing is actually very predictable, they know when schools are off and they know when it is going to get busy, the problem for them is with like today a big event is announced and suddenly thousands of people want flights. That pushes the price up and unfortuntely it is the customer who has to pay for that, usually by them fobbing you off.

Really? They're proper scummy this company - hopefully the bank will do the same for me because it's £500 extra I certainly can't afford!

Shouldn't be allowed to operate, obviously do this to everyone. Got the money back in the end after about a week but was a tight one.
