FIFA 10

I'm going to get shot down for this but having bought Fifa 09 last season and played both PES 10 and Fifa 10 demos I'm leaning towards PES. AI seems better on PES (both opposition and team mates, particularly with AI defenders) the pace is better and there feels more of a sense of physical momentum.

I've played a few games as Spain v France and a few times I have been able to get a shot off with Torres despite having a challenge come in which has made the ball bobble up enabling me to just nick it and power past - felt nice and realistic. I also prefer the slightly slower pace, in fifa it just felt like you could sprint through people too easily and if you missed a tackle your other defenders wouldn't help you out.

Ultimately for me I think the major difference is that sometimes in Fifa 09 and to a lesser extent Fifa 10 I've felt that oposition goals from the AI have been a bit cheap, whereas in PES they feel natural and that you actually DESERVED to go a goal down.

Anyhoo tin hat time - Fifa fanboys are sure to go ape.

Can't disagree. I played 3 games on Fifa 10 demo earlier, I deliberately tried to keep possesion, I was Chicago Fire in all 3 games. I won 1-0 twice and drew 0-0 the other time on hardest mode, but listen to this I had over 70% possesion in all my games, that is how unrealistic the game is. If you pass around your back four the oppostion do not come to get the ball, you can do it for 90 mins. Everybody please try it.

Fifa fans must admit that is a bit dodgy.

It's only a demo.

I doubt you'd enjoy that level of easiness in the final product.

Well it's not much of a demo then if it's so shoddy... the whole idea of a demo is to persuade you to buy the game - Fifa 10 has definitely failed so far, sure it's better than Fifa 09 but I didn't feel it was as big a leap as others make out... not a £35+ leap anyway.

Add to that the HUGE anti City bias in the stats and EA can fuck right off the rag loving cnuts.

Just done a half vs Barca, I am Chicago Ive had 92% possesion and nearly scored!!!!

See that to me sounds like a game that could happen in real life, unlike the Chicago Town v Barca games.

Kiam you obviously have god like qualities and I fully expect a pasting from you at the weekend. I can't wait to see you sprint through my entireteam whilst having 75% possesion. I expect most of my possesion to be from kick offs.

When we played Barcelona in pre-season, the possession stats was something stupid like 70-80odd% to Barcelona and 10-20odd% to us... So I don't see your point; you've obviously gone out not to play the game properly by just passing it around the back four.

Was being a tad sarcastic.. lol. Considering I scored 2 headers from 2 small players. I seem to shoot from anywhere on PES and it's on target.

On top player now, Barcelona vs Liverpool, 2-0 to me at HT, Messi just glides past every player!!
