FIFA to investigate City over relationship with Danish club?

I hoped after the last ban, we'd investigate, get our processes right and not be found in this position again.

I think given the attention we get we've got to be squeaky clean, even moreso than our rivals.

The current allegations seem to be older if Bossaerts is any guide. So long as we're currently doing the right thing that's all we can hope for. But we can hardly complain if we've done something wrong in the past and cop a ban for it.
Bossaerts was signed in the Summer of 2012 and let go 4 years later, aren't the leaked emails actually quite old now? Hell, I don't even know what rules would have been in place 6 years ago.

Me neither. TBH I thought payments to families were a fairly standard part of youth recruiting.

Perhaps one day we'll get to know there was more than a new fridge that baconface bought giggsy's mum.

It is understood that the transfer could be worth considerably more to Millwall than the initial £375k should Gyabi hit a certain number targets, thought to relate the youngster’s game-time and progression through the ranks in Manchester.

The news comes amid fresh Football Leaks allegations that City are to receive a one-year transfer ban from FIFA for signing overseas under-18 players in contravention of the governing body’s regulations.

Just clocked this at the bottom of Sammy Lee's de Jong article:

FIFA has been investigating City and Chelsea regarding possible violations of its transfer policies since 2017 and it was claimed last week, by a Danish newspaper working with Football Leaks, that the world football governing body's adjudicatory chamber has alredy recommended a one-year ban for City and a two-year ban for Chelsea.

Last week, FIFA stated that "proceedings are ongoing and, to date, no decision has been passed by the FIFA judicial bodies."

A good way down is an extract from the contract:

3.1 is subject to clause 3.5 but they don't show clause 3.5. I wonder why?

3.4 mentions "subject always to the regulations of FIFA and football authorities"

I suspect this is again complete bollocks. I can't imagine in 2016 City would fall foul of the regulations here.

If that is legit is does seem dodge to me.

FIFA’S REGULATION OF TPO
18bis Third-party influence on clubs. 1. No club shall enter into a contract which enables any other party to that contract or any third party to acquire the ability to influence in employment and transfer-related matters its independence, its policies or the performance of its teams. 2. The FIFA Disciplinary Committee may impose disciplinary measures on clubs that do not observe the obligations set out in this article.

This is a relatively new rule - if it predates the rule then we are fine. If this was drawn up post the above then FFS what are we paying lawyers for?
