How inferior is he? Either way, Torres will probably be the best central midfielder for his age in Europe once he physically matures. Obviously, less pressure on Simeone and Rodgers than there will be on City's manager, but that shouldn't have stopped the club from allowing him to go out on loan.

There was no strategy when we brought him in. The mentality was to stick him in the youth squad and rot, managed by Mancini's mate who didn't have a clue.
Sadly we failed him, it was probably a mistake.
