Some of the first touches and technique you see from the women is superb at times and wouldn’t look out of place in the men’s game and then they go and balls up a simple 5 yard basic pass 5 times out of 10.

I have to say this is the game of the tournament so far. Two technically good teams - jeopardy and in particular for the host nation. Enjoying this !

Not so much for me. They are both good teams, but... it’s a bit like watching two heavyweights cancel each other out.
There might be a bit of a moment every now and then, but it’s mostly a war of attrition.
Probably down to France’s inability to put a decent final ball in.

Don’t get me wrong, very accomplished football, but not as entertaining a game as say Norway vs Australia was.

And my prediction, should the USA win: based on what I’ve seen so far, (USA not showing me anything that particularly scares me except relative solidity and a general awareness up front) yes, they could do a clinical Champions League job on us and pick us off a couple of times late on...but I think we could also shock and awe them into submission before that - and still have chances late too.
