FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

I think the standard has improved massively over the previous 4 years, but now most of the top 15-20 teams are pretty close imo, maybe with the exception of one or two who are still on a higher level….England probably top 10 for me but I think they’ve looked and played better in Euros and declined since..
Yeah that makes sense. You can sort of tell that even from a very casual viewpoint.

All that came from from us throwing the ball straight out of play from a throw in. Nice shot, they have looked more like scoring.

Keeper error.
Yep, agreed, but the generally smaller size of women keepers in what look like full size goals means those sort of cross/shots are always a risk. We should shoot more too; if they go round the margins of the target the keepers often can’t reach them.

I also thought Daly was at fault for not closing down the cross/shot. Emma Hayes mentioned it earlier on the commentary that we weren’t doing enough to close down crosses on that side.

No we are doing the safe option all the time, where is the inventiveness?

I kind of said that too. We have nothing upfront. We do okay until the final third. Ellen White 's physicality is missed in a game like this.
