FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

Think Spain deserved to win that overall. Not a great first half of football with the two styles of football cancelling each other out. At least Spain were tryng to play football and didn't give the Swedes too many free kicks like they got against Japan in the quarters. Paralluelo really made a difference for Spain when she came on, a real talent they have there.
Paralluelo is top class...

Can't help feeling Spain deliberately flopped against Japan. Immediately after it I said they'll get to final.
Hope they lose ..to us..

The hype/PR behind Putellas is a bit of a mystery. She's been in some solid teams, but never a standout player.

Spain look an all around good side. Can't help but feel the winner of this wins the tournament.
Well I don't think she was ever destined to light up this tournament having managed 5 games all of last season with her ACL injury. It's hard to imagine she's anywhere near peak form and fitness this tournament. Guess you could say that if that's the case, don't include her in the squad, but players like that inspire and have presence so I can see why they took her if the injury is healed.

If it's a Spain v England final they will be wanting revenge for the way they were dumped out the Euro's.

David Warner warning the Matilda's to not let England change the ball is a fantastic pettiness level.

Pavlov would have classified sporting shithousery as an unconditioned reflex in aussies. We should experiment on a few of them to see if it's possible to introduce some form of aversion therapy.
