FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

You DO realise that, if the Lionesses lift the trophy on sunday, that's the team of the year award gone out the window for oil money Citeh?
The bbc one on spoty? Was discussing it earlier. I agree with you 100%, but it’s no big deal really - it won’t stop me cheering the team on on Sunday!

We never win that anyway. If they don't win on Sunday they would probably award it to the England tiddlywinks team before the BBC recognised the greatness of this City team.

The site of Aussie sportspeople crying will never get old

Don't forget how we did them on their own turf in the final of a World Cup in 2003! Oh but that was beautiful. And I don't even care very much about that particular sport.
That said, I had a bit of a soft spot for the Australians here. Would have been happy for any of the four to go through, to be honest, although it's obvious where my preference lies. Spain really impressed me technically against Sweden. Easily the superior team, although the Swedes had more physicality about them.
This will be no piece of cake.
