When the FIFA rankings make sense i will go by what they say

Not looked at it in detail but it immediately looks as if heavily biased towards not losing games against teams of a decent standard and being consistent with it. As England have been consistently average with draws or scraping results it works in their favour.

The team you play ranking could be bottom as ranking posistion and team quality play no part. Thats why USA were ranked 4th best a few years back after spanking nations some people didn't even know existed for a couple of years

It doesnt shock me that England are that high. The Euros have always been the hardest tournament you rarely get a easy game in it as its the best 16 teams in it. I am pissed off they are expanding it as it will ruin it and be a bit of a few dead rubber games in it were before every single game and every group had some big games like Spain v Italy , England v France , Portugal V Germany , Germany V Holland we wont get that again in the groups now.
England done well and a top 10 rankings isnt bad 4th though is a bit of a head scratcher.
