I’m looking for opinions/thoughts on the next league.

I wouldn’t mind a Championship personally. Since we’ve had 32 participants in this, and only 3 have failed to fulfil fixtures, I think it’s feasible that we can 24 willing players who will play near on every game.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

Just to advise, in order to make competitions as fair as possible, I carry the draws out randomly, but also based on how good players have performed in the past.

i.e winners of past tournaments and this tournament and those who have progresses furthest will be given lesser teams to those who have either not progressed far or been spanked in the group stages.

The last thing we want is a FIFA monster to be given the best team meaning the likeliness is he will win every game.

We could have a Premiership and Championship league of around 14 teams in each, you and somebody else manage could manage each of the leagues then just do it as a proper football league, play each other twice, have promotion and relegation and then cup places at the end of the season who go into a play off situation!

Interesting proposition for sure.

If we can 30 then perhaps 3 leagues of 10. As there’s plenty of new face, perhaps the decision on who starts off in what league can be deduced from everyone’s performance in this league.

For example, the 8 quarter finalists plus the 2 best losers of the 2nd round could start off in the premiership. Then the next 10 could be in the Championship and finally the last 10 (combination of those spanked in the group stages) plus a newbie (since we’ve had 29 regulars) could go into League 1.

I'm thinking people who go further in the competition rather than just topping their group get rewarded with the top league spots as that would be a better way of seeing how well one has performed. Particularly as people who have had results void in their favour because people havent bothered turning up would have finished in the top2 without having to do very little, if you get me?

Just thinking, why does everyone have to have a different team?
If you chose your own club everyone can play on top of there game and be the best they can be with no excuses.

I know it looks good when everyone has a different team but if we do like Premiership and Championship sort of thing it should go off your name. Doesn’t matter what team you are.

I’ve loved playing in this comp, even though ive been shite, but I hate Inter. Soon as this is over im never being them again, ha!!

If you chose your own club everyone can play on top of there game and be the best they can be with no excuses.

The reason why we have done it this way in the past is because we have players involved who have literally played nearly 40 H2H seasons matches and lost just 1. Now I don't know about you but I class myself as decent on this but even I would struggle to compete on a regular basis with players like that, so spare a minute for those who aren't so good and are fairly new to Fifa and are being given a team the same as the best players...the likely outcome would not only be a loss, but a fucking heavy one.

I think it's in the interests of everyone willing to be involved that it's as fair as possible and that's why I think a weighted team draw is the better way. It also keeps interest high amongst everyone and less chance of people quitting because they are getting mauled every week.

That's why I like the idea of different teams being allocated. It takes away that confidence of playing with LFC, or City (for most of you). Know them inside and out.

Good at FIFA, then you are better with your team. But playing with a team you are not used too, well - it kind of settles the playing field somewhat in my eyes for the players who are not so good playing with Barca et al

These lads who are awesome and are battering most teams deserve to be top.
Id look forward to my matches against these top guys and if they did spank me 10-0 id find it funny.
If I did manage a 1-0 win against them and I was Barca and they were a 75-75-75 team I wouldn’t get as much satisfaction as they had a weaker side. I wanna play everyone with no excuses if I win, lose or draw.

But if you want my opinion for the next one, it should be 2 or 3 leagues depending how many players you have and you can be any team you want.
I try harder with City and why penalise these geeks who spend there lives perfecting there FIFA skills. If they are amazing they deserve to be at the top by a mile. Id well look forward to playing them.

However, you run a great comp and whatever you say goes. I’ll be in it what ever you decide mate.

This 2 or 3 leagues sounds good. Not sure where I stand on the whole picking your own team thing though... Either way it's good stuff so i'm not fussed.
