How did David Luiz make that team, the 7-1 performance against Germany should have showed everyone how poor a defender he is.

I question Iniesta's inclusion as well because for me whilst he is still one of the best creative players around, he hasn't been the same player of a few years ago for quite a while now.

Not one Atletico player, where is Godin??

Only two Germans as well.

Lahm didn't even play in defence last season as well.
Luiz actually is a very good defender when he is disciplined. He seemed to have a complete mental breakdown in the Germany game.

Di Maria????

er yeah ok...

c**ts

Real Madrid wouldn't have won the champions League without him.

Second best player for Madrid last season.

so why let him go?

We are talking about Real Madrid, they got their we shiny toy in James and got rid of an important player in Di Maria to fund it.

Same happened with Ozil when they added his nice £42.5m fee onto the Callejon, Arbeloa and Higuain fees to fund Bale.

Ancelotti wasn't happy one bit apparently with Perez after selling Di Maria and Alonsi in the summer.

Very strange club Real Madrid,

As usual the biggest names in football got into the team. Some of them were undeserving, but some like Iniesta, Silva and Luiz were complete jokes.

My team would be very different. I think to be in the team of the year you not only need a fantastic year, but you have to win the big tournaments. Obviously would make exceptions for exceptional players. So that means Reus, Neymar and Suarez would not make my team. Messi is borderline.

Neuer
Ramos Godin(Hummels) Boateng Lahm

Kroos(Modric) Schweinsteiger Di Maria

Ronaldo Messi( Muller) Robben

Apart from Messi everyone one of those players won a major trophy. Apart from possibly Hummels, every other player won at least two trophies that year.

EDIT

Oh yeh the biggest joke is Loew winning manager of the year. I feel sorry for the next big club that picks him as manager.

is it a team based on last seasons performance?

The year 2014.

Di Maria had an immense start to 2014 and had a good World Cup as well, which I still believe had he been fit for the final Argentina would have won the tournament, he was their player who linked the midfield and attack.

He had a good first few games for United as well, 5 or 6 assists and a few goals.
