Edit: Been mentioned on SN atm the pilot has reported threats of a possible device on board.

Military jets have escorted a passenger plane to Manchester Airport, National Air Traffic Control Services has confirmed.

I saw it shadowing the Qatar Airways plane but then thought about the WW1 commemorations and thought it might have been about that - but as you've said it was the plane. Thank fuck all down safely then. Scary shit that. Will put news on.
