Fighting at Wembley in Block 534

Against Wigan a chap who was so stoned & pissed on the coach collapsed as we got off in the Wembley car park.

He was carted off in an ambulance with his ticket in his back pocket.

There was no sign of the silly sod again!
That Wigan match in 2013 and Rags 2024 were the only times when being pissed up pre-match and missing the game was the smart move.

In all fairness the alcohol strength is a lot stronger these days!
Also our day we did a lot more “practising”. Sneaking into pubs at 15, bottles of cider from the offy over the park.
By 16 a decent wage could put your moped (then 1st car) on the road, buy fags and go out drinking 5 nights a week and Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.
Not always pissed, (I was always a crap drinker anyway), but everything was a lot more affordable then. Pubs and booze culture much less prevalent nowadays.

"Sad to say" why?

If anyone (blues or otherwise) are out & about off their faces on drugs or carrying drugs, then it's their own fault if they get pulled for it. Can't fault the police snatch squads in this instance if it means less nob heads inside Wembley starting fights.
Exactly my point
And they were “complete nob heads “ out of control

Some daft fucker got through the turnstile yesterday, got his vape out and had a puff and was thrown out. He was in Wembley for less than 30 seconds.

I was (un)lucky enough to be at that game (many thanks to the greatly missed De Niro, who sorted out a ticket for me). It was depressing seeing pissed/coked up blues fighting each other. Why do it?

I’ve had words with others In the past when I’ve wanted to stand and sing and they wanted to sit and not sing. This was generally started by them being frustrated at not being able to see the match, or having to stand against their will. I don’t think I’d be inclined to argue any more though, as there’s plenty of safe standing areas, you probably have to respect those who’ve chose to pay for seated tickets. Anyway, I hope no-one’s hurting too much today!

Look on the bright side, at least he won't remember that shambles of a cup final, whereas the rest of us do!

I think you get a bit of it with all clubs, but not as prevalent as it is with City. I’ve discussed this with match going rags at work, who are amazed by how aggressive with each other our fans are, and how there is seemingly little camaraderie. Other than the obvious alcohol and drugs contribution, there are I think a few factors that play in. One being generational intolerance both ways, we FOCs need to remember we were young once, the youngsters need to realise they will be old one day. And then geography, which I could expand on, but it would probably be misunderstood. But seriously as a fan base, it is something we could hugely improve.
One other point, I have only ever seen it at Wembley, where people can be knocking hell out of each other, and the stewards do absolutely nothing to stop it or intervene. In that sense, Wembley is a potentially dangerous stadium if trouble erupts.

The biggest bert on bert I have seen for a long time.

Went off on 20 mins and escalated at half time, fuck knows what was happening or triggered it but a few were punched and faces full of claret

It was right next to me and my 6 year old son. It was fuc&ing embarrassing. It seemed to be one sitting/standing it seemed. All the scrapping was being carried out people who should know far better. One old buy looked a right mess. No security for about 5 minutes..

The fact that these people are doing this in front of children is a fucking disgrace. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I'd say the security took longer than 5 minutes to arrive and by then the situation was well and truly over as one of the groups of people had long gone back into the concourse. It was shocking from Wembley's security that they just let the situation play out and only showed their faces when it had all concluded. Especially how long it went on for. If more people felt inclined to get involved they'd have really struggled to separate it and somebody could have genuinely been seriously hurt.

Part timer. I was in the pub about 6.30 for a refresher, bottle on the coach, couple at Uxbridge and a pre-match gargle at the ground. Never felt even the slightest desire to punch anybody.

You just get a different demographic at the big games.

Yes but I heard you were asleep after the game.-:)
I had a couple of pints in the Railway(bushey), a nice Italian with a bottle of Red, and opened a second bottle back at the hotel.
During the whole day I had to dodge 3 bust ups, two after the game, and some pissed up bloke in the pub, Chelsea fan, been in there all day.
We are pro drinkers, it's these part timers worry me-;)
