I think many - including myself - have made the mistake of listing popular films that they believe are overrated, not strictly rubbish per se.

Maybe, I on the other hand really think the deer hunter, forrest gimp, titanic, gone with the wind and amenrican beauty are actually complete and utter shite films

I was really disappointed with Gangs of New York.
The cast were great, the director top notch, the budget very high and time taken to film was all geared for a masterpiece.
The end result was all a bit meh.
