Finalised 25 man squad?

Unless I've forgotten anybody that he has definitely said he wants to keep, I have only been able to think of 23 names that (I think) will make it into Roberto's final (25 man) squad (leaving 2 squad places free), thus allowing us the flexibility of maybe bringing in a couple more players in before the transfer window shuts ....perhaps there is something in these Sneijder stories after all..... thoughts please.

Well apparently neither Balotelli or Savic have to be registered due to their ages, so that leaves us with a 21-man squad. We have less senior professionals to choose from than United (24) and Chelsea (28) despite our apparent ruining of ze football. :P

Well apparently neither Balotelli or Savic have to be registered due to their ages, so that leaves us with a 21-man squad. We have less senior professionals to choose from than United (24) and Chelsea (28) despite our apparent ruining of ze football. :P

If that's the case LC, I would suggest that, with 4 competitions to go at, its not only prudent but vital we bring in a couple more players before 11 O'Clock tonight..

Our Final Squad:
G: Hart, Pantilimon, Johanson and Taylor
D: Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Richards, Zaba, K Toure, Kolarov and Savic.
M: Milner, A Johnson, Nasri, Barry, Y Toure, NDJ, Razak and Silva.
F: Dzeko, Balotelli, Aguero, Tevez, Guidetti and Nimley.

So thats a 26 man squad but Balotelli, Johanson, Nimley, Razak, Savic dont have to be registered so really a 21 man squad. If Guidetti does leave then 20 man squad
Hargreaves if he joins makes it 21.

you're thinking of the CL squad. Got loads of homegrown players just not many "club trained"

Why doesn't Balo have to be included? He's 21 now.

Because he wasn't 21 at the start of August.

As for other spaces, Onouha might as well be included if he is still here, he's not that bad.
Might just use a reserve player to take up the final space like we did with Logan last year, such as maybe Johansen, or Razak.

Not sure we have any remaining reserves over 21. Logan and Etuhu gone... what about the 22-year-old Argentine we've been trialing who scored for the EDS in the 1-0 win over Liverpool, D'Angelo.

I think this is why Bridge is sticking around. We are going to have room in our squad due to the ages of some of our players, so he'll probably make the 25, then just sit at home collecting his pay cheque.

Chelsea have just announced their 22 man CL Squad. Their only club trained senior player is Terry - hence 3 vacant places. It means that they could not include Romelu Lukaku for example who, although U21, is not home association trained. 17 max of them.

Same with City if Onuoha isn't included. We've only got Micah. Balo & Savic are counted towards the 17 foreign trained limit even though they are U21. So 22 man CL squad max. PL doesn't have club trained restrictions but still has the 17 foreign trained limit. We could include Bridge in that because Balotelli & Savic are U21 and available with the all the rest if required.

United have announced a 24 man CL squad - Rafael & Fabio are club trained as they have been there since 2008.
