Ferguson has come out and slagged off the disciplinary panel at the FA and I couldn't be happier! Adebayor getting banned for that long and then Gerrard getting absolutely nothing for what I consider a more significant act of foul play and unprofessional behaviour is a disgrace.

Pick out those who favour City from the below:

# Chairman: Lord Triesman
# Vice-Chairman: Barry Bright (Kent FA) ¿
# Chief Executive: Ian Watmore (Devon FA)

# Other Members:

* Dave Henson
* Michael Game (Essex FA)
* Phil Gartside (Bolton Wanderers Chairman)
* David Gill (Manchester United Chief Executive)
* Roger Burden (Gloucestershire FA)
* Sir Dave Richards (Premier League Chairman)
* John Ward (Hampshire FA)
* David Sheepshanks (Ipswich Town Chairman)
* Neil Doncaster (Norwich City Chief Executive)

Bit of a shame its ferguson, as he complains about the FA a lot, so it may fall on deaf ears. Lets hope not, and at least someone has mentioned it.

I have to say I totally agree with him, any body not only has to be fair, but has to be seen as fair and whatever your views on a single incident thru the course of a season, the facts remain that the FA are not in anyway seen to be fair.

There does seem to be double standards operating in the FA/Prem League disciplinary procedures protecting the Sky 4 teams because of the overseas viewing figures income probably. Our own players ( Ade and Viera ) are punished after the event with long bans yet Gerrard can blatantly put the V sign up to the ref and the elbow someone off the ball both captured on TV and yet no case to answer!! Something not quite right. Anyhow we'll still gatecrash the party no matter how many times they try to stop us!!

I agree with Ferguson for once, despite the fact that he might have ulterior motives. The point he makes is a complete and total indictment of the FA.

I fancy we are seeing the 'Shearer Syndrome' being acted out. He steps on Lennons face and some element of 'playing for England?' is brought up and no action is taken.

I think the FA are clearing the disciplinary way for players considered to be an integral part of the England World Cup set up.

Gerrard has clearly got away with violent play, TWICE, but it makes no difference to the corrupt and incompetent currently running the FA, but to those people I still say IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN!

Ha, defending Ferguson when he's trying to get his side a favorable ride on Sunday... Unbelieavable. The FA didn't do nowt wrong with Gerrard... how would it look for them if they changed the rules to get the Liverpool skipper banned against United? Pretty dodgy.

Not at all. If its deemed serious enough then the FA have shown in the past with Ben Thatcher that they will act. A premeditated elbow smash to an opposing players temple to me is serious enough to act on, whether the ref has seen it or not.

People seem to forget about the FA's respect campaign. This isn't just to referee's but to fellow pro's to show youngsters how the game should be played. What Gerrard and then the FA have done is shown youngsters its ok to physically assault someone.

We had the "Lets kick racism out of football" campaign a few years ago, and anyone seen or heard were dealt with in a severe fashion. Usually fans. Whats the difference with this respect campaign?

^^^ This, Typical Taggart mind games yet again. F*ck Taggart and f*ck Bin Dipper Gerrard! Two tw*ts!!

How is it mind games when its clearly true?

Well yes it is clearly true - absolute disgrace and the FA have shown themselves up to be biased - off the scale - but they did that last year with the SWP kick - yet 2 worse incidents by Tranny get unpunished - he was quiet then!! so for that reason it is double-standards by Taggert and mind-games because he makes the comment only now with their game at the weekend in mind
