Excellent work tonight. Interesting how Garrido seems to have come back in from the cold. Do you think that is just through neccessity with all the injuries or does Mancini rate the guy higher than Hughes and even by the end of his reign Sven did?

He's not playing his purchases, so plays them as he sees fit, regardless of who they are.

I don't doubt that. What I was getting at is do you think Mancini believes Garrido has a future at the club or is he only playing him because we lack suitable alternatives? It just seems strange how he has suddenly come back in after being completely out of the picture under Hughes.

It also seems that between Mancini and Kidd they have already made a big impact on Robinho's game, even if only for several minutes. Last week, and any other game this season, he has just tried to run through the defense on his own, and lost the ball. Bad habits acquired from lacking any consistent strikers for much of last year. Today he was much different, looking for options each time he got the ball and creating chances.

Could just be a coincidence, but I think the terms under which he will play for the club have been explained to him.

Hughes got sacked because,
1. He was tactically inept
2. He never sorted out the defence

Mancinini has done more in 2 games to sort out the defence than Hughes did in 18 months
