All the kits they give away in deprived countries are probably counted as sales so no chance there.jimbopm said:So some one pays the rags 70,000,000 quid per season to manufacture their kit. If you call a shirt £55 that means they would have to sell 1,272,727 shirts per season to break even! That's excluding materials and labour costs!
I'd love to know how many genuine rag kits get sold per season.
We signed a 6-year, £72m deal with Nike last summer according to the press. This was originally a 10-year, £60m deal with Umbro in 2009 but that got renegotiated with Nike when they sold Umbro.aguero93:20 said:original contract was up to '15 I thought, Nike must already have renegotiated. PB?Damanino said:I thought its a 6 year deal with Nike for us, 12m for 6 years, 72m in all.
That was written when it was announced.
From the OS:
The Umbro sponsorship, which has been in place since June 2009, will continue to the end of the 2012/13 season, after which all kit, training wear and related products will be designed, manufactured and distributed by Nike. The contract will run until 2019.
