£25 on us to win though.

Re: Derby Day - Passion

Quite a few posts on here describing how Blues dont give a fuck about the game tonight..... Bollocks! If you cant get excited and nervous and give a serious shit about a derby match regardless of whats at stake....Then in my opinion your either lying or dead!! just my opinion!

If it wasn't for next Sunday then tonight would be everything, regardless of whether it doesn't affect our season. The reality though is that Sunday is a million times more important than tonight, for obvious reasons. My mind is fixed on Sunday, with tonight meaning little in terms of the result. I'll watch it and wish for a win, but any slagging off from United fans should we lose won't bother me one bit, because next Sunday determines on whether we finish with a trophy or not. I can actually feel the butterflies about that match now.

I agree the semi is a vitally important game for us mate and what you say makes perfect sense, I just cant bring myself to give up on a derby match thats all.. Of course I would not swop a win tonight for a win on Sunday, no way! I think we can win both games though..

I think we will win tonight as it goes, and the match will show there isn't a 15 point gap between the two teams in regards to them being that much better than us. I think it will be 2-0 to us and a dominant performance will be put on. It won't change anything though. I just want the players to get through fully fit and with none of them doing something silly for a straight red.

We are playing for pride tonight so of course it matters ! The minute you stop giving a shit about this fixture is the minute you might aswell stop watching city altogether !! We fight to the end of have we forgotten that ? I hope the players show some guts and put on a show tonight because they owe us a decent performance and a win.

It's not so much a case of not giving a shit about it, femibob, it's more a case of there is a much more important fixture to think about next week.

I want us to win obviously, but like pigeonho says, Sunday is much more important. Tonight is for pride only, a Sunday win would almost guarantee us a trophy.
