First away game.

Preseason 1995, Stockport vs City for the 'official' opening of the Cheadle Stand. 7 years old (was also my first ever City game) game finished 1-1 Niall Quinn scored i believe.

Didn't get to stay for the full 90 mins as had school the next day

Blackburn about ‘83/84? we won 1-0 iirc steve kinsey scored the goal, we must have had 10,000 there kicked off allover place!! then again at blackburn train station with a train full of burnley fans coming back from bolton!!

And again at Victoria Station as United were playing Everton that day. It was carnage that day

It was United away in the Cup - think about 1986?, so would have been 11.

Whiteside scored and we lost 1-0 - that cheating little shit Jesper Olson diving on the edge of the penalty box and our lads stopped.

Now that was an away following.

First away game I can recall was at Burnley, think 1972/3, lost 3-0.

I remember not because of the game itself but because of the abuse Joe Corrigan received from City fans. This was before he became the great keeper and legend he now is. The boo boys were won round eventually!

First away game was my first game. March 1969, City beat Rags 1-0 at Swamp with a Mike Summerbee goal at the Scoreboard end where we were stood directly behind the goal.

Stoke City 1981 and a 2 goal Trevor Francis debut. Fantastic day in the sun at the Victoria Ground. Mike Doyle played for Stoke that day.
