Sorry for your loss Mark, my grandad was my first (proabably a lot of peoples)

it does get easier and you will never forget the happy times

Still proper wounds me when I think about mine dying. Been 2 years nearly now, still think about him every day.

sad thing is, im not devastated he's gone

im just concerned for my nan and mum

funeral cost is going to be a huge burden and it really doesnt feel like theres any help out there

My thoughts are with you Mark. A death can really hit a family like a bolt of lightening and all you can see is pain for quite a while. But there is also a sense of togetherness and an opportunity to let those around you know that you care. It can be a great bonding experience. My only advice is to give lots of hugs ... always made me feel a tad better.

(One more thing... don't feel bad about being more concerned about your nana and mum. Everyone grieves in their own way. In our family we often went from fits of laughing to dispair. There's no right or wrong)

my grandad died sunday night

fuck me its tough

my mum coping well, my nan is a state - doesnt want to eat, wont get out of bed

nicest man there was, wouldnt accept a penny from anyone but would give everything he could to everyone else. despite being in alot of pain close to his death - he recently sat with my nan in hospital for a week , he slept every night by her bed side. so gutted

I've got my Mam's funeral tomorrow, so I know where you're coming from.
Today would have been my parent's 52nd wedding anniversary.
Life can be tough at times fella.

ago it was followed very shorty by my nan as she gave
up on life after he died,

This, my grandad died a matter of months after my nan as he completely gave up.
