First Gig

My first gig was in 1977 and it was a long forgotten punk band who were featured regularly in Sounds and NME. The band were called "Bethnal" and me and my mates turned up at the college at around 6:45pm. The Students pissed themselves at three totally uncool 15 year olds and told us to come back in about 4 hours :)

A week or so later a mates brother blagged us into a Club to see the "Lurkers" and then the really big one -; "The Clash" at the Apollo.

I am another who saw the open air "Rock against Racism" concert with the Buzzcocks and Steel Pulse. The wonderful Bob Greaves was the compere and I remember being really shocked when he said "Fuck".

Pink Floyd Earls Court 1994. Fantastic.

You're not the fat lad that made the seating collapse are you?

That was 3 days before I went. I was gutted as I thought the tour would be called off :-)

Same here actually. Can't remember which date I went but it was definitely after the accident. Had a bit of a crush on Sam Brown who was one of the three backing singers on that tour.
