First signing of the window

They do this all the time on the BBCs football section. It’s annoying. They should have a separate women’s page. Then let’s see what the traffic numbers look like..
Completely agree. I have no interest in what’s going on in women’s football.
Effectively it’s like mixing the football news up with Baseball news or something else I don’t want to know about.

Thanks for stopping by the Women's Team Forum, person who has no interest in what's going on in women's football.

I posted this in the transfer forum initially someone moved it over here. Didn’t even know it had been moved until now.

Wait, so you posted women's transfer news in the wrong forum and then complained about being forced fed women's transfer news? I think most people find it pretty easy to demarcate the two things. As someone who follows both the men's and women's teams I like the social feeds being mainly kept separate as I'm usually looking for information about one or the other at any given time. The club did try the "one club" approach on social media but have reverted back to separating them out as I think most fans prefer it.

People do seem to get disproportionately upset though if they see a bit of women's football news leak into the front page of the BBC sport website. If you're not interested it's just as easy to ignore as it is to ignore news about Motherwell's latest signings (which I assume most people on here don't care about either)

No I just posted it in the transfer forum for a bit of a laugh as everyone is hanging for a bit of transfer news.

I had just spotted the article that we had made a signing on the main BBC football page.

Yeah. I don’t support City men.. just the women. I like that the two social media’s are separate so we can choose what information we see. But if I do see anything men related, it’s easy to ignore. I don’t know why a lot of people get so wound up seeing women’s football news!

me too, but some woke twat would make a meal of it

Given the story WAS only posted within the women's team socials and WAS clearly marked as women's football news on BBC's website, we can evidence the fact that "woke twats" didn't actually make a meal of it. The only people who seem to be making a meal of something are the people going out of their way to post women's news elsewhere in the forum or the people dropping by the women's forum to complain about being forced fed it whilst speculating on the imagined reactions from "woke twats".

The rest of us are absolutely fine with how the information is reaching us.

I get that the OP was only trying to have laugh by disguising women's transfer news as an exciting signing on the men's forum but it's very weird that it was then the OP and people who agreed with them that pivoted the conversation towards saying how they're sick of having women's football rammed down their throats. Classic case of people confecting their own things to be annoyed about and then trying to blame it on "wokes".
