It is a bit odd, if he'd picked up an injury or illness it would surely have made the media by now and I can't think of any reason why he would get extended leave.no one seems to know.

Still can't get used to seeing Dave with a skinhead.
He just doesn't look right :(
Maybe this is the ploy though, get him to blend in more with other players so he doesn't vet noticed as much in game, so is harder to man mark

Really! He does remind me of freaking Steven Ireland. It's real freaky watching those training videos. All the Ireland flashbacks are making me dizzy.Still can't get used to seeing Dave with a skinhead.
