First thoughts on the new boys.

Navas is going to be very popular with the supporters.

He'll be great no doubt but I can't help feel he'll frustrate at times, as in making major gaffs every now and then, moreso than others.

Very happy.Txiki and pellers have identified the area's we needed to strenghten and bought very well, just need reinforcements at the back of the same quality and we are good to go.

Negredo, looks to have a nice touch, quick shot, decent speed and eye for goal

Jove, only had the 45 min tonight but linked up very well with Silva and Edin, quick feet, seemed to react quickly to Silva's passes and runs, looking forward to seeing more of him as he has more time with his team mates

Navas, very speedy, but we knew that, crosses well. Will add much needed width, always liked a winger and hope he's a big success.

Fernandinho, had his best game so far tonight during pre-season, played nice long passes which I hadn't noticed he'd done as much previously.

All in all I think we've done some excellent business this summer, really looking forward to seeing the four new boys as they get more settled and fitter.

Just a extra centre half now please.

It's been a very good transfer window for us. I like the look of all of the new signings. I know it was just a pre season, but in the first half today we looked frightening at times. I think we will be in for a treat this season with the football on display.

Impressed with all 4 of them. There's a tremendous physicality about the squad now. Just need pacy mobile cover for Kompers (that Lescott/Garcia combo gives me the heebeegeebees) and another flying machine out wide in case Navas cops for an injury, and there should be no excuses for not winning the title back

I have been very impressed with all four of them.

Ferny has an excellent passing range, isn't afraid to get go forward and has the engine to play the box-to-box midfielder that we need, though I feel he will have to be more disciplined and protect the back four more when the season starts.

Navas is VERY quick, passes accurately and has a very good cross. He will undoubtedly give us the 'Plan B' that we didn't have last season.

Negredo offers us more height up front and, surprisingly, seems to link up very well with Džeko. He has a good shot - he was unlucky not to score again tonight - and isn't afraid to get stuck in. He is not going to be bullied by Premier League centre-backs.

Jovetić was the one I was most excited about and from what I saw this evening, I will not be disappointed. His touch is exquisite and he linked up very well with Merlin. I can't wait to see more of Jojo, either. Hopefully, I won't have long to wait and he'll play again tomorrow.

So, I would say that if I were giving a mark, it would be A or even A+; it's been that good, IMHO.

The key for me is that they all possess qualities that we were desperately missing at times last season, mainly pace. We looked a lot more fluid, energetic, and adventurous going forward than we have done in a while.

Jesus will be a fans favourite and I was impressed with the movement of Jovetic. Negredo is a typical old fashioned centre forward and I am sure he is going to be a hit. Can he play on a cold wet night away at Stoke? Strangely for the Spanish, I think he will relish it.

Impressed with Fernandinhio as well, think people are starting to realise that he is much more than a holding midfielder. His vision is excellent.
