Guys, this is my first post on this forum.

I have been a city fan for a little more than a year, since exactly when mancini took over. I am based in tokyo, and i have enjoyed watching most of the games live so far though being broadcasted at very late hours here.

From reading this forum (which i find quite informative and enjoyable) i developed the impression that most of the fans here are from the city of manchester or probably british. However now that city is embarking in a new experience of becoming a major club and mcfc becoming a global brand, no doubt the international fan base is going to grow with that, just like barca or real madrid. I wonder if there are other international fans like myself in this forum.

I am hopeful city will win something this year, and I am more than confident next season will be when city will not only silence all the doubters and haters but more importantly bring fun and joy to the masses.

cheers

Welcome to the forum

You are right in many of your assumptions, the majority of City fans are from Manchester and the surrounding areas, you will also find that many City fans from outside Manchester have family ties to Manchester (many people moved away from the City in the 1970's and 80's)

I have no problems with people choosing to support City, as long as they are in it for the long haul and learn about the culture of the Club and the fans, as you might have guessed in many ways we are a lot different to other clubs, the humour the way we do things etc, it has always been that way

I'll take your post as being genuine , it sounds as though it is , so welcome to Bluemoon mate .... although you can probably understand the caution of some on here , especially with so many wind-ups in circulation !

Yeah , i'd say most posters on here are from the Greater Manchester area , although there certainly are other posters that post on here from far and wide ......... some post from the United States , others from Australia , Sweden , Canada , Thailand etc , to name but a few places ......... so we do get a broad range of views , and , as you've already noticed , some of the humour is second to none!.

And yes our exposure , as a football club , is now much greater than it once was , and so we are bound to attract new interest .... and even more so if we can start winning trophies , such as the FA Cup , which is obviously broadcasted to so many other countries.

Thanks Ducado. I've been on the forum for a while already and noticed some of the differences indeed... thats what makes city what it is!
