First Topic From An "International Fan" in Tokyo

Guys, this is my first post on this forum.

I have been a city fan for a little more than a year, since exactly when mancini took over. I am based in tokyo, and i have enjoyed watching most of the games live so far though being broadcasted at very late hours here.

From reading this forum (which i find quite informative and enjoyable) i developed the impression that most of the fans here are from the city of manchester or probably british. However now that city is embarking in a new experience of becoming a major club and mcfc becoming a global brand, no doubt the international fan base is going to grow with that, just like barca or real madrid. I wonder if there are other international fans like myself in this forum.

I am hopeful city will win something this year, and I am more than confident next season will be when city will not only silence all the doubters and haters but more importantly bring fun and joy to the masses.

cheers

welcome in the "plastic's fans club" mate ;)

Make sure you don't just "support" them on TV. Anyone can do that.

Tokyo is a big city, and it's open 24 hours. Why not try to find someone to watch the game with? There's bound to be more than one City fan.

Say what yous want. I grew up hating everything about them the main reason being the gloryhunting twats. Although i know we will start attracting them it doesnt mean i should accept them. I will never understand their mentality to attach themslves to something succesful. I never want us to turn into them.

Blimey, you're a cheery chappy aren't you?

well, i watch city games online indeed and i am not going to say its difficult but still it comes at awkward hours here. yesterdays game against wigan for example started at 2:30 am here !

you are right, watching the games with other city fun would be much more fun, but i dont know how to get hold of any. this is one of the reasons i started this thread as well. any ideas how can i find other city fans around here?

Don't talk to me about awkward hours... yesterday's kick off was 4:30am. Most kickoffs are 2am here.

Here's a starting point: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=174174884226&v=wall" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=1 ... 226&v=wall</a> Not a very big one mind, but it's a start.

You could even go here: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tokyo-sportscafe.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tokyo-sportscafe.com/</a> wearing your City shirt and maybe you might bump into some one?
