First Trip To Manchester

I just wanted to say that I am loving the love on here for the John Rylands Library.

Most mancs have never heard of it, never mind visited it.

It is Manchesters hidden gem and an absolute must visit if you have any interest in architecture and old buildings.
Paid it my second visit last month

I will be there for a total of 8 full days, 9 if you count the flights (I don't). I love Roman history so I will have to get myself to Chester.
The most important site in the world for Roman archaeology is Vindolanda, up north in Cumbria. It's not far from Hadrians Wall, and details of life for the average centurian are demonstrated in excellent fashion at the Roman Army museum near Greenhead that isn't far away.

Went there last year and found it fascinating, well worth a visit.

The Lowry art gallery is a must visit and the Imperial war museum is well worth a visit as well.
Both are in Salford Quays area, tram takes you right there.
The National Football Museum is also well worth a visit down by Cathedral Gardens.
i have not done the Etihad tour but you could always try and book a visit during your stay.
The Lowry is a bit too near the swamp for my liking.

Yeah...I think we're all good with the walk and with it not being a relaxing stroll ;) Just nervous about 2nd half starting late, large amount of stoppage time, etc.

Not sure I'm nervous enough to spend the extra cash for the hotel though...would rather spend it on getting the kids a souvenir or something!
They have bikes outside the stadium get the APP and get on one of those
