KK and City parted company. Things were bad towards the end but he didn't half leave us some good memories, not least The Goat being fed by Neville.

Squandered a lot of money on shite and frustrated me frequently.
But he also provided us with fantastic entertainment and the most enjoyable season in recent history. He also played a big part in stablising the club and establishing us back in the Premier League.
I take largely good memories from his time at City.

I remember that game well. Screaming for Lee Croft to come on as sub and save us. My how times have changed.

Was that the one where we had about a billion shots on goal and still lost?

No that was under Pearce in his first full season. The Keegan one was his final game and we were completely gash from start to finish.

How bad was that Bolton game though?

It finished 1-0 and Diouf scored if i remember correctly? Awful game

that was bad but kk left us with some of our greatest comebacks
the 4-3 at spurs and the "lets be aving you" 3-2 win at norwich

and he brought us the magician ali bernabia

Also, with everything that's gone on at the club between then and now, is it just who feels like it seems WAY longer than 5 years ago?

Yes!!!!!

But times like them, Keegan as manager and the Pearce era are what made us what we are today!

Would'nt change any of it for the world!

Keegan's first season, the 2001/2 promotion campaign, was the most enjoyable in my 35 years as a fan. OK, it was the second tier, but we played some wonderful stuff, and the all out attack approach - which gets you killed in the Prem - was a joy to watch. City scored more goals that season than any other English club in a season has since 1976.

I had misgivings over some of what KK did later on, but I'm really grateful to him for that season, because no other manager would have been able to preside over something like that, and it was wonderful.

Might be just me but I always had a suspicion that there was something dodgy about some of the tranfers under Keegan.

I thought he might of pocketed quite a few bob from transfers for Fowler, Vuoso and Macken such was his insistence they went through. He'd never even seen Vuoso and we knew Fowler ws crocked.

Am i barking mad or does anyone else kind of feel the same?

to be honest the last couple of seasons under keegan were shite but we only remember the good moments. for instance we went on a run in the premiership of 15 games without a win but in the middle of that we won 4-3 at white hart lane. everyone remembers when we battered united 4-1 at home but that season we lost 4-2 at old trafford against 10 men. we had so much potential in that first season with berkovic looking awsome but we spent millions on old has beens which not only brought us down the league, put us in millions of pounds worth of debt and also left pearce with an impossible and thankless job.
