Fixtures Calendar | Latest Update - Pg 28 (and Pg 1)

As expected our Leicester tie remains on Sat 5:30pm while Liverpool's is swapped from Sunday to Saturday (due to both playing the CL QFs on Tue)

And the Villa tie for now is "postponed" ... but expect it to be put in that same mid-week a few days later. I guess they'll wait till FA first announce the TV dates for the FA Cup Semi Finals and then accordingly it will be on Tue or Wed.

Here's the Premier League's Statement:

Further April fixture amendments announced

Four matches postponed and a further two kick-offs changed after FA Cup results and UEFA draws

After the conclusions of the FA Cup quarter-finals and the draws for UEFA competitions, further amendments to Premier League fixtures scheduled for April have been announced.

Postponed fixtures

Aston Villa v Man City
Chelsea v Brighton
Leicester v West Brom
Southampton v Crystal Palace

Amended fixtures

(All times BST)

3 April
17:30 Leicester v Man City (Sky Sports)*
20:00 Arsenal v Liverpool (Sky Sports)

4 April
16:30 Aston Villa v Fulham (Sky Sports)

*confirmation of kick-off time announced last week

Now that FA Cup Semi has been put on Saturday for us (which could easily be on Sunday but why not shaft us while they can) ... and the Villa game put on following Wednesday (again it could be Tuesday but as late as possible on Sunday gives us least time to the Carabao Final so why not eh?)

I will update the fixtures calendar in an hour or so and post updated one here ...

Is a definite that the possible CL semi final first is on Wednesday 28th? Could it be on the Tuesday. Two days after LC final?

No one can tell what they will put where ... so won't be surprised one bit if we have CL semi on Tue after the Final on Sun as that is very much possible ... any other country and they'd be helping their teams like they already do in Champions League normal games ... actually even here if it was Liverpool or United they'd not be doing this with them ...

Two fixtures needed scheduling ... could have been Sun or Tue (if first one had to be Sat) but no they go and put it Sat and Wed so now least amount of gap between second leg of CL and the FA Cup Semi and then between next league game and the Carabao Cup Final ...

Anyway, here's the updated calendar:

Looking at that above you'd think Leeds (H) or Villa (A) are the big games with so much gap on both sides of those two ... while everything else (which is of actual importance to us) is a little squeezed ...

PS. The first post of the thread also always have the updated fixtures calendar; if anyone doesn't want to go through the thread, can just look at the first page and that's always updated.

Spurs also playing Wednesday so will have same amount of time to prepare for league cup final as them. Unfortunate bbc put our fa cup game Saturday but I can understand why they did that. Just gotta hope we escape these next round of international games without any injuries then it’s full steam ahead for a crazy April

I know what you're saying but look at the whole of April and two fixtures that have most time on both sides - 4 days away both sides are Leeds (H) and Villa (A) while that causes to squeeze everything else, so now big games are literally on top of each other first with Leicester and 1st leg of QF, then 2nd leg and FAC Semi ... and finally the Carabao Cup Final ... no one has helped us in anyway ... neither the league, nor the FA and also UEFA. I am telling you now, there is no link or planning with each other or guarantee that UEFA wont put our SF 1st leg (should we get there) on Tue ...

Starting on Saturday we're in the endgame, important matches every 3 days for two month!!!
It's gonna be a hell of a ride irrespective of if we win 1 or 4 pots.
Strap yourselves in folks.

City have been playing two matches a week since the season started. The only gap was at the COVID Everton call-off.

City are on a 13-day break now, although most of the players have done two or three International matches.
