flag pole

I noticed a bloke the other day with a small flag on an umbrella. My daughter and I sit in 111, and she has a flag for the derby. What can she use to put the flag on, that the security will allow in the ground?( The flag is about 4 foot by 3)

Used to have a couple of big flags when I was a kid. City were fine with you taking one it, but at some away grounds they'd confiscate the flag pole. To get round this I used to have to put one end of the pole down my trouser leg and into my shoe, and the other end under my shirt, resting firmly under my arm. Was a bit of a nightmare going up any sort of steps but always got away with it. Even got taken through a special entrance and across the corner of the pitch at Grimsby by a steward who took sympathy on me and my flag induced limp.

In 1981 at Wembley, I used rolled up newspaper wrapped in tape on my John Bond's Blue and White Army flag.
