Florian Wirtz

Who are these people?

"Bets there edging"

They aren't connected.

KDB is simply a financial/age/fitness consideration.

When Kev was told, it was absolutely the case Wirtz had not agreed with anyone.

I'd argue Wirtz would rather play with/learn from someone like Kev, than make it a stipulation he was moved on, before coming to City?

And if has/had done, he's not for us because his arrogance would outweigh his ability.

I try not to argue what is going on in someone else's mind as it's guess work. If Wirtz preferred to play with a great, or he preferred assurances that he would be a key player, either of those is possible and valid given the stage of his career and his achievements. Different strokes for different folks.

My point was more that I'd be surprised if they are telling KDB his time is done when they don't have a replacement lined up, or at least a high chance of getting one.

I suppose Aguero left and we stuck with false 9 for another season because Levy was a tit, so it's not impossible either. That said Kane had given us the nod at that point hadn't he.

Aguero left though as we were told be Kane and his dopey brother he could leave for £100m?

Wirtz in and Kev on a deal like Gundo, one year plus one year or he makes x appearances, and this could be a very good summer indeed. I know I'm wishing in the clouds here, but maybe we see the value in retaining him on a restructured deal. A fit Kev makes the squad, an in form Kev starts, but whatever happens I trust the club to get the right squad in place.

Kev unfortunately will continue to get injuries and it’s just not worth the financial risk and a squad place? Our best ever player for me and a complete legend but the time is right imo.

Agree mate and kev my fav player ever

That the Germany league isn't great. If you can't understand that by me referring to it as a "shitty league" that's on you dumb dumb
Bad players playing for great clubs does not make the league shitty. Bundesliga is the 2nd best league in the world. For every Dier or Choupo-Moting there is KdB, Kompany, Gundo etc. Majority of players signed from bundesliga have been of lot higher quality than most other leagues.

There could also be other reasons players don’t fit in or clubs are just badly run (Utd).

So yes your argument is a bit dumb that is why asked if you could clarify.

Why don’t we keep them all for at least 2 more years then? Next season would get even worse

Yes, Kane was first choice wasn't he. If history repeats then it means Wirtz's people have said that he wants City but we still have to arrange a deal with Leverkusen.

That said, we've been here before where we're just used as a negotiating lever to extract a better offer from another club, so I'm optimistic but only cautiously. Bayern makes most sense and the dirty tricks like leaking that he'd be less of a priority for the German national team if he played abroad are typical.

Leverkusen would prefer us though? Mcatee may come into play as well for them?

So you think the German league is competitive and decent?

You're talking absolute nonsense but I've obviously hit a nerve

Yes Bayern got too big but except for that it is competitive. I have watched a lot of games there so speaking from experience.

Saying teams like Dortmund, Frankfurt, Leverkusen etc are not decent is a bit weird.

Premier League has more financial clout that is what has given the, the edge. All other other organic factors like attendance, scouting and atmosphere are vastly superior over in Germany. So yes I would class it as one of the closest rivals if not the closest rival to the PL.

It's not weird at all. My second team is RB as that's where my uncle lives and I've followed them, and the Bund for years. It's not a competitive league at all.

Here's your proof, 11 seasons in a row -

That does not really tell the whole picture it just says rhat Bayern are very good. The premier league would have looked basically the same had it not been for some unlucky injuries. During that time Bayern has been coached by the two greatest mamagers of the modern era.

The bundesliga is so bad that premier league two best managers came from that league.

The bundesliga who had rubbish strikers like Lewandowski, Håland and Kane playing there.

You can angle it and say it is bad based on marketability and Bayern dominance. That is fine.

I have based my opinion on performances from the German teams in Europe, watching games. I also form my opinion from my work were I am in contact with football people. For example I know two players that currently play there. One was in the dutch league before and one played in Serie A before. They both play for midtable teams. The Serie A guy said quality was significantly higher in bundesliga and it took him quite a while to get used to level.

We are not going to have the same view here so let us just park it. I feel it is 2nd best öeague in the world although la Liga is similar level. That to me makes it a good league.

That's cool.

Doesn't alter the fact that the league has been dominated by Bayern worse than the Premier League was by the Rags in the 90s.

It's a poor league, hence top players that have a choice of Real, us, Barca, etc would only tend to choose Bayern if they're German.

Not altering anything just stating facts Bayern have been a great team with best coaches in the modern era.

Your argument is the same for italy and Spain so those leagues are crap as well then.

The only difference is that there are more rich clubs in the PL due to investment and the 50+1 rule.

Liverpool would probably not have won the Seria A, Bundesliga, La Liga or Ligue 1 this season. Does that make the PL bad?
